Online training courses, completed as a refresher training option prior to TMJI technical testing or as Module 1 of an ECITB MJI blended learning program.


Health, safety, quality and technical learning objectives relevant to the disassembly, inspection, assembly, hand/hydraulic torque tightening of flange/clamp connections and hydraulic tensioning of flanged connections

Knowledge and practical activity tests, completed at the 3rd and 4th stage of the ECITB MJI route to competence program.


(TMJI-10) Dismantle, Assemble and Hand Torque Flanged Joints
The candidate has to successfully use the appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect flanges and report faults, prepare, assemble and tighten a flanged connection using hand torque equipment as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances.


(TMJI-11) Dismantle, Assemble and Hand Torque Clamp Connectors
The candidate has to successfully use the appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect clamp connector components and report faults, prepare, assemble and tighten a clamp connector joint using hand torque equipment to a specified drawing and within set tolerances.


(TMJI-18) Dismantle, Assemble and Tensioning Bolted Connections
The candidate has to successfully use the appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect flanges and report faults, prepare, assemble and tension a flanged connection using hydraulic tensioning equipment as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances


(TMJI-19) Dismantle, Assemble and Hydraulically Torque Flanged Joints
The candidate has to successfully use the appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect flanges and report faults, prepare, assemble and tighten a flanged connection using hydraulic torque equipment as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances.


(TMJI-20) Dismantle, Assemble and Hydraulically Torque Clamp Connector Joints
The candidate has to successfully use the appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect clamp connector components and report faults, prepare, assemble and tighten a clamp connector joint using hydraulic torque equipment to a specified drawing and within set tolerances.


An ECITB TMJI “Certificate of Achievement” validates an Individual’s skill, ability and job knowledge in a specific task area and is valid for 3 years.
